I know you all love Ron Paul. But every candidate has his flaws. So let's discuss them.
He is against government funded stem cell research because he says people that are "morally against" stem cell research should not have to pay for it. If this isn't the most outrageous logic I have ever heard of.
When people vote on these policies whatever wins the vote is what the government goes for and the minority of the vote is stuck to go along with it.
This is like saying people should be able to hold back the tax dollars that go to Iraq because they don't believe in it.
That is the most flawed logic I have ever heard of and I fully support stem cell research.

Not supporting funding something via COERCION is certainly not the same as not supporting something done freely by the people.

The fundamental is Ron Paul doesn't support the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT (meaning tax payers) being forced to pay for stem cell research. If the people wanted to set up a foundation to fund stem cell research freely out of their own pockets, in a free market manner (either charity, or via LLC or corporate or 501c means) they are free to do so. Why sit there and rob Peter to pay Paul for your own interests? This is robbery via government dictate and is antithetical to a free society.

The fact of the matter is that forcing others to pay for your bidding is tyranny. Plain and simple.

In sum, stem cell research should NOT be paid for via taxation and administered via government bureaucracy, and, instead should be pursued by those who freely would like to pursue it, whether in a non-profit or for-profit manner.

Basic.

By the way, since when is stem cell research a critical portion of the job of the President of the United States?

I like a lot of what Ron Paul says. But I think he is an absolute idiot regarding foreign policy and the Islamic threat to Western Civilization, and for that reason I won't vote for him. But the saddest thing regarding his campaign is that when he promotes the ideas and principles that this country was founded upon, he is regarded as some kind of kook or fruitcake by the mainstream media and a majority of the ill-educated American public. So many people are receiving government checks of one sort or another that politicians are afraid to do the right thing no matter what the consequences. Washington, Madison, Jefferson, and the rest of the founders would be just as out of place standing on the moon as they would be standing in 2008 America. It is a very depressing election year for the well educated.
I did enjoy seeing this piece, which included an initial positive reaction to Ron Paul by middle east terrorists. But it is only amusing because it is easier to laugh than cry.

U.S. primaries embolden terrorists
Posted: January 23, 2008

By Aaron Klein

"Who is this Ron Paul? He sounds good."

This was asked to me yesterday by Abu Oudai, a senior northern West Bank commander of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, one of the most active Palestinian terrorist organizations.

Abu Oudai told me he watched a short feature on Al-Jazeera describing Paul as strongly anti-war and against the use of any military intervention in the Middle East. The Arabic cable network informed its audience – apparently including at least one West Bank terrorist – that Paul has described terrorism as a primary response to the U.S. meddling in the Middle East.

Abu Oudai said he "liked" Paul's positions and views until I informed the terror leader that Ron Paul was a Republican candidate. Terrorists have a very black-and-white view of U.S. politics. They don't like the Republican Party very much, since they associated it with President Bush's so-called war on terror.

Oudai had called me to take credit for an earlier shooting attack on Israeli soldiers he said was carried out by his group. But his comments on the U.S. election highlighted something I learned firsthand this past year while writing my latest book, "Schmoozing with Terrorists" – that America's jihad enemies pay close attention to our election cycle.

(Column continues below)

A lot of people tend to think terrorists live like barbarians in caves. Actually, many terrorists, certainly the dozens I met in the Gaza Strip and West Bank, reside in well-decorated apartments with all the trappings of a modern production company.

In today's modern world, it's very easy for anyone speaking any language to be updated almost immediately about all kinds of events. This includes America's terror enemies, who watch Arabic satellite news, read Internet news websites and pay particularly close attention to news of U.S. domestic opinion regarding our government's Mideast policies.

How are presidential primaries perceived by Mideast terrorists?

Earlier this week, a fight between Hillary Clinton's camp and Barack Obama over who expressed more support for the war in Iraq made news, including in Middle East circles. Terrorists see this kind of bickering as a victory.

"We see Hillary [Clinton] and other candidates [accuse each other about] who is guilty of supporting the Iraqi invasion. This is a moment of glory for the revolutionary movements in the Arab world in general and for the Iraqi resistance movement specifically," said Jihad Jaara, an exiled leader of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the infamous terrorist director of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity.

Jaara and other terrorists recently sounded off to me about the state of the U.S. political debate.

Nasser Abu Aziz, deputy commander of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, told me it is "very good" there are "voices like Hillary and others who are now attacking the Iraq invasion."

He said the presidential race, particularly the Democrat primaries, proved "the invasion of Iraq was judged by Allah to be a failure. America needs to stop letting its foreign policy be dictated by the Zionists and the Zionist lobby. The Democrats understand this point and want to prevent this scenario."

Ramadan Adassi, leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in the West Bank's Anskar refugee camp, pointed to Obama's rise to stardome as "an important success. He won popularity in spite of the Zionists and the conservatives, whom he greatly defeated."

I asked Adassi whan he meant that Obama "defeated" the conservatives and "Zionists." The terriorist explained he was referring to Obama's strong anti-Iraq war stance.

Abu Hamed, leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in the northern Gaza Strip, explained candidates' anti-war positions "prove that important leaders are understanding the situation differently and are understanding the price and the consequences of the American policy in Iraq and in the world.

"The Iraqi resistance is succeeding. Hillary and the Democrats call for withdrawal. Her [Clinton's] popularity shows that the resistance is winning and that the occupation is losing."

I hope every candidate comprehends what the terrorists just highlighted. It's important for our leaders to understand the terrorists are watching. The primary debate in America and our ultimate decision on whom to nominate in each party will likely directly impact the war being waged against us.

Make no mistake about it: The terrorists' ultimate goal is to spread their brand of Islam around the world. Their short term goals include kicking America out of Iraq and the Middle East, destroying Israel and changing the demography of Europe.

Every time terrorists hear our candidates, largely liberals, say we are losing the war and compete with each other on who would withdraw first from Iraq, it emboldens terrorists to believe they are winning.

This guy is a tool. Clearly fighting the American occupation of Iraq is EXTRAORDINARILY different than trying to impose Islamic rule over Europe, but he uses the argument that it is inherently the same. That lack of critical thinking is what WILL lead to the destruction of the world if it is allowed to remain the predominant mode of thinking.

Look, aggressive Islamic fundamentalism is clearly not a good thing. However, the battle against it must be fought with wisdom, as any battle must be fought. Going into Iraq, the most secular nation in the region, and destabilizing it, was the dumbest thing we could have done in our battle against aggressive Islamic fundamentalists.

Leaving Iraq, stopping the bleeding of funds down the tube, which is helping to kill our domestic economy by the way, and regrouping while reasserting our principle of fighting wars in a self-defensive manner ONLY, but being ready to wisely fight REAL threats, this is the only answer for long term victory. We need to use our noggins a little bit more and stop self-destructing out of complete fear that somehow radical Islamists will take over Europe. That is nonsense, and would only happen if we continue to act in a belligerent and ignorant manner.

Apparently the Obama administration considers Ron Paul supporters more dangerous than Muslim Mullahs preaching kill the Jews and Americans.

between the lines Joseph Farah Are you a terrorist suspect?

Are you a terrorist suspect?

Did you support Ron Paul for president last year?

Do you believe there are people actively working to merge the U.S. with Mexico and Canada?

Do you display an American flag?

Did you ever display a Libertarian Party bumper sticker on your car?

Do you buy gold?

Any of these characteristics might lead law enforcement authorities to conclude you represent a danger to the republic. You are more likely to be a militia member or a domestic terrorist, according to a document distributed to Missouri police and, potentially, law enforcement authorities nationwide.

That is the stunning news from a Feb. 20 report called "The Modern Militia Movement," which identified these "red flags" or warning signs.

Of course, I want you to notice what are not considered red flags and warning signs by the Missouri Information Analysis Center, which works with resources from the Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies.

You are not suspect if you have an "I like Osama" bumper sticker on your car.

You are not a suspect if you attend regularly attend a Wahhabi mosque.

You are not a suspect if you are preaching hate and anti-Americanism in a church formerly attended by the president of the United States.

You are not a suspect if you are a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Do you get the picture?

Welcome to the Obama World.

And the scary thing is that cops are going along with this.

Lt. John Hotz of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the report comes from publicly available trend data on militias: "All this is an educational thing," he said. "Troopers have been shot by members of groups, so it's our job to let law enforcement officers know what the trends are in the modern militia movement."

The center, which opened in 2005, was set up to collect local intelligence to better combat terrorism and other criminal activity, he said.

Hotz assures the public that using factors in the report to determine whether someone could be a terrorist is not profiling. He said people who display signs or bumper stickers from third-party groups are not in danger of harassment from police.

"It's giving the makeup of militia members and their political beliefs," Hotz said of the report. "It's not saying that everybody who supports these candidates is involved in a militia. It's not even saying that all militias are bad."

So then how is this misinformation helpful?

Hotz doesn't offer a clue.

All of this smacks of something I recall from the days of Attorney General Janet Reno during the Clinton administration.

Back then it was the highly politicized FBI warning that conservative Christians posed a danger to the republic. That astute warning came in the form of Project Megiddo.

The name "Megiddo" came from the biblical location in Israel associated with the Battle of Armageddon, the final great battle between the forces of good and evil as some believe is foretold in the book of Revelation.

Sent to police chiefs throughout the country in an effort to warn them of potential difficulties they may encounter in their local areas, the controversial FBI report described a number of Christian-based groups that ostensibly posed a violent threat to society. By the way, this all came after Islamic terrorists bombed the World Trade Center and destroyed the Khobar Towers.

And how did all that paranoia work out?

Two years later, a small band of Islamic terrorists plotting in the U.S. undetected destroyed the World Trade Center and attacked the Pentagon, downing four commercial airliners along with them.

We're still awaiting the first terrorist attack by flag-waving, gold-buying Ron Paul supporters.

The British have always been a nation of sport lovers and interest in all types of sports. Many sports

which nowadays are played all over the world are from Britain. Football is perhaps the best example,

but among the others are horse-racing, golf, lawn tennis and rowing.
wow gold
Many people, both foreigners and British, consider cricket to be the most typically English of sports.

It is true that cricket, unlike football, has until recently remained a specifically British game,

played only in Britain, in some parts of the British Commonwealth and in Denmark.
World of warcraft Power Leveling
But it would be wrong to say that cricket is the most popular British Sport: that is, undoubtedly,

football. Nevertheless, it remains true that for most English the sight of white-flannelled cricketers

in the smooth green turf of a cricket pitch represents something that is traditionally English.
Cricket and football, however, are merely the two most popular sports in Britain: there are many

others. wow gold In the summer, lawn tennis probably comes next in

importance to cricket. There are clubs in every town and in all the parks. There are public courts

where tennis may be played for an hour on payment of about one pound. Swimming is very popular and

there are many public swimming baths.
cd keys Rowing and canoeing are practiced less because there are

not so many facilities. The annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge universities on the rive

Thames is, however, one of the most popular sporting events of the year. Golf is becoming increasingly

popular and many clubs have to turn prospective members away.
Runes of Magic gold
The most popular winter sport is football. Skiing is impossible in Britain. In order to take part in

them more and more people spend winter holidays on the Continent.
One reason for the great interest in sport in Britain is the Englishman’s fondness for a little bet.

Gambling has always been an integral part of such sports as horse-racing and dog-racing and in recent

times, doing the ‘football polls’ has become a national pastime. But whether as gambler, spectator or

player, most Englishmen have some interest in at least some sports.

Shortly replica rolex, after my parents moved from Pennsylvania to a remote rural area of Ohio near the Kentucky border, they began noticing dark areas of grass in the shape of circles. I saw one myself once when I visited them and teased that it looked as though a UFO had landed there. It would fade away and another would appear somewhere else some time later. One time a friend visited them and they showed them the odd circles of dark grass. The friend told them they are fairy rings. My mother went to the library to see what she could find on fairy rings and learned that folklore tells that if you stand in the center of a fairy ring at midnight during a full moon and make a wish, it will come replica rolex true.
Some time Eve isk, later, a new fairy ring appeared just a few yards from her house. (All the others had been out in the pasture.) There would be a full moon in a few days so she decided to see if the folklore tale was true. During the day she put a bucket in the middle of the ring so she could easily find the center at midnight. The night of the full moon she went to the bucket at midnight and made a wish. Within just a few short months her wish came Eve isk true.
My parents ffxi gil,had bought this property (140 acres surrounded on three sides by state game lands) and built a new home there so it pretty much depleted all of their savings. There was still so much that they dreamed of having there, but would not be able to do on my father’s pension. My mother’s wish was simply to have all the things they wanted for the property. One of those things was roads to the remote areas. Another was to have a garage and a third dream was to have a small lake on the ffxi gil property.
Soon wow power leveling, afterward, a company contacted them that was interested in some of the lumber on their property. They would pay for what they forested and promised not to rape the land that my parents loved so much. In order to get to the more remote areas for the trees they wanted to take they had to put in wow power leveling roads.
One day replica rolex, my mother was talking to one of the owners of the company. He was telling my mother what beautiful property she had and what potential it had. He seemed to have developed a special fondness for my tiny 78 year old mother, and talked to her quite often during the month or so that they were there. My mother told him about her dream of a lake and he told her they had the equipment to do it and they would do it for her for no charge. They dug a deep and wide area out behind the first meadow and diverted water from a creek into it. My brother stocked it with fish and turtles replica rolex abound.
With the money wow power leveling, they made from the sale of the trees they put up a three-stall garage. Some people may say that those things would have occurred anyway even if my mother hadn’t gone out into the yard at midnight during a full moon to make a wish. I guess we will never know. But another occurrence after that only strengthened my belief in fairies. Maybe sometime I will tell you a story of the fairy wow power leveling designers pictures.

When I archlord money, was about 13, my parents decided to buy an old house in the country. They found an old school house for sale and the main quarters were the headmaster’s house. The headmaster’s house being the larger of the two was the one we lived in. The school house was used as guest accommodation when family and friends came to visit. I loved living there because whenever I had friends stay over, we could use the school house unsupervised and because the place had a kitchen and a bathroom we never had to go to the main archlord money house.
This one dog clothes, night in particular I had two people staying in the house with me my best friend Sandy and my cousin Shane. We collected all the things we would need for the night and set up our sleeping bags in the middle of the room. We talked until the early hours of the morning, and as we were all getting sleepy we thought it was a good time to say goodnight. We were doing our rip-off of the Waltons "good night Jim Bob, etc." when I saw something out the corner of my eye. It was one green orb about the size of a small dinner plate and it went from one side of the room straight over to the fire place and just stopped. My friends had also noticed and we were all whispering, "What is dog clothes that?"
Feeling unusually maple story mesos, brave, I decided to prove that it was the moon because that’s all it could have been; we were out in the middle of nowhere and there were no lights of any kind. I got up and went to look out the window. But there was no light source; the moon was behind the clouds and outside was pitch maple story mesos black.
Just as I was flyff penya, about to say this, all the windows in the room started to shake and the orb was changing in colour from green to orange to red and getting brighter all the time. I backed away from the windows and sat back down between my two friends, trying to hide the fact that I was flyff penya petrified.
When all last chaos gold, the shaking stopped and the place calmed down, my cousin dared me to go and see if I could touch the orb. A dare is a dare so I accepted. I got up and somehow made my feet walk over to the orb. I reached up and it disappeared. yelling at us for making so much noise and waking him up. He said it sounded like we were banging on the walls and he also said he could see lights on in the school house. But he said it was when we started screaming that he really got fed up and decided to tell us to shut up and go to last chaos gold bed.
We tried World of Warcraft power leveling, to convince him that we hadn’t done anything, that we hadn’t even made a noise, but he didn’t belive us. We didn’t see any point in arguing, so we called it a night we decided to take our chances in the school house because dad was to mad to reason with. After he left, I felt the immediate need to go to the bathroom. I put the light on and made my friends stand lookout on the other side of the door. Just as I sat down, the darn thing flushed and I nearly hit the roof. I don’t know how it happened, but I didn’t hang around to find out. I went outside instead. We stayed awake until it was morning and I haven’t slept in there world of warcraft power leveling since.

Every Day is a Lucky Day
I teachrappelz rupees, economics at unlv three times per week. last monday, at the beginning of class, i cheerfully asked my students how their weekend had been. one young man said that his weekend had not been so good. he had his wisdom teeth removed. the young man then proceeded to ask me why i always seemed to be rappelz rupees so cheerful.

His question world of warcraft gold, reminded me of something i'd read somewhere before: "every morning when you get up, you have a choice about how you want to approach life that day," i said. "i choose to be cheerful."Let me give you an example," i continued, addressing all sixty students in the class. "in addition to teaching here world of warcraft gold at unlv,

i alsomaple story power leveling, teach out at the community college in henderson, 17 miles down the freeway from where i live. one day a few weeks ago i drove those 17 miles to henderson. i exited the freeway and turned onto college drive. i only had to drive another quarter mile down the road to the college. but just then my car died. i tried to start it again, but the engine wouldn't turn over. so i put my flashers on, grabbed my books, and marched down the road to the maple story power leveling college."

"As soon world of warcraft gold,as i got there i called aaa and arranged for a tow truck to meet me at my car after class. the secretary in the provost's office asked me what has happened. 'this is my lucky day,' i replied, smiling."" 'Your car breaks down and today is your lucky day?' she was puzzled. 'what do you mean?'"" 'I live 17 miles from here.' i replied. 'my car could have broken down anywhere along the freeway. it didn't. instead, it broke down in the perfect place: off the freeway, within walking distance world of warcraft gold of here.

i'm still world of warcraft gold, able to teach my class, and i've been able to arrange for the tow truck to meet me after class. if my car was meant to break down today, it couldn't have been arranged in a more convenient fashion.'""The secretary's eyes opened wide, and then she smiled. i smiled back and headed for class." so world of warcraft gold ended my story.

I scanned the Atlantica gold, sixty faces in my economics class at unlv. despite the early hour, no one seemed to be asleep. somehow, my story had touched them. or maybe it wasn't the story at all. in fact, it had all started with a student's observation that i was Atlantica gol cheerful.
