Ponder This… Six-Pack #17
1. Loose credit causing the unnatural housing boom has reversed. This reversal has left some American areas looking like ghost towns. It is unfortunate that we have been subjugated to nearly 100 years of the ridiculous Federal Reserve System and all the nonsensical rationalizations that have been forced into the American consciousness to allow such a system.
2. Most of the push for bail outs to homeowners to “keep them in their homes” is actually the making of LENDERS. Think about it, these organizations want the homeowners to keep providing the month-to-month cash flow associated with mortgage payments. These bankers are not acting out of a noble sense of the common good, they are strictly trying to save their own asses, and, potentially through the taxpayers’ productive efforts. If you are a productive individual (most of my readers I am sure are), say no to these inane bank-sponsored bail out schemes. They will couch it in populist rhetoric, but it is all a sham to save the bankers’ rear ends. Trust.
3. Gary North lays out some thought provoking “Non-Negotiable Political Demands“. For the sake of the world we will be passing on to future generations, hopefully these common sense positions are taken up by a broad majority. When navigating whether you should support some or another government program, keep this phrase in mind: “Coercion is NEVER the answer.” Once you realize government is nothing but brute force couched in fancy rhetoric, you will be much more likely to avoid the traps that allow many people to sanction mass plunder.
4. “Hope” has been a major buzzword of the past six months. I personally believe hope is only possible through wisdom and a deep seated respect for literal truth, combined with action respecting the laws of nature and the unalienable rights of all human beings. That being said, I am not bought in to the Barack Obama version of “Hope” although his “change” from President GWB (”The Knave”) really would have a tough time being worse than what we have had (not saying much…) That being said, “The Mad Bomber” John McCain is not an option in my mind. Ron Paul’s wisdom-based “Hope for America” slogan is right on, especially given that he is the only candidate who discernibly cares about the ideas of America (i.e. limited government and natural rights). But, I guess we’ll get what we get here in America, even if it is a spanking at the hands of “REALITY” (i.e. economic collapse). Gary Tanashian says hope is on a rope…
5. Please consider familiarizing yourself with antiwar.com. I have found it to be a great classical liberal site for debunking much of the pro-war propaganda being spewed from mouth pieces across the land.
6. To bring it back to the wonderful land of skill-based entertainment, check out this article highlighting the players making a move at the NFL combine in their bid for higher draft stock and associated fame and wealth.
