Limited Constitutional Republic In Trouble
With the fierce attacks and general media black out of the only principled, limited government presidential candidate in the current crop of otherwise willingly plunderous wannabe “world improvers”, it is becoming increasingly clear that, unless folks who care about their unalienable rights as sovereign individuals stand up, speak out and work hard for the cause of liberty, that cause will be dealt a string of continuous blows at the hands of those who do not take a minute to think about the fundamentals of their core philosophy.
To put it simply, those who think they can improve you and the world through controlling you and the world are really doing their darnedest to control you and the world. And the sad part is, unenlightened fools are voting them in to control!
The greatness of this country is not rooted in massive social welfare programs or vast overseas military adventures. The greatness of this country is definitely not rooted in the activities of our government.
The greatness of this country is rooted in the recognition of the natural rights of free individual human beings and the barriers that were constructed against government seizing control of the lives, liberties and products-of-labor of its individual citizens.
At this point, the foundation of American greatness is cracked and work needs to be done on improving its soundness before the entire house caves in.
I am fearful that it may be too late. Our country is being bankrupted by overly adventurous activities on the part of the government - from monetary and fiscal policy here at home, to the overseas attempts to police and control the world - and at the same time, the intellectual capacity of the citizens here is rapidly being eroded away through hours of rudimentary toil, more hours of passive indulgence in the nonsense of broadcast television, and the complete lack of cohesive education within our educational system.
With a debauched currency and an even further debauched national collective mindset, it is safe to say that unless the masses begin to wake up, the free individual will face a serious onslaught in the coming years, one which will be so severe that it will likely wake up more individuals who should have been aware by now but have been living in cozy dens of denial to the reality of the world we face.
The main threat facing this country at this time of the turning of the page to 2008 is the complete lack of understanding of the core philosophies associated with limited government and the liberty of each sovereign individual.
Act now, otherwise, our short taste of freedom will be replaced by the standard of human existence through the majority of history - a world of common serfdom. I for one, have not signed up to be a serf and will not accept this lunacy without a battle, but I fear that too many fail to even realize the walls that are being built up enclosing individuals in a pen made possible by their own ignorance.

If you want to feel better, go buy a shotgun and do some clay pigeon shooting. You can do it at the Chabot gun range in the Oakland Hills on certain days, and maybe also get a handgun and do some target shooting. Owning guns and learning to shoot offers some comfort to those studying our society and getting increasingly ominous feelings about the future. And blasting clay pigeons is just tremendous fun anyway.
