Ron Paul Editorial: Renew Devotion to Freedom, Limited Government

Ron Paul had an opinion piece published in the Des Moines Register today. I think it is a really clear, concise and generally hard-to-argue-with commonsense position. With our sovereignty and the Constitution under continued attack, Dr. Paul is a rare voice in government actually pursuing the interests of free American individuals. His is the only candidacy based on liberty and truly limited government intervention in the lives of U.S. citizens. He is one of the only candidates to stand up and speak out against the behind-the-scenes aims of North American politicians to merge the United States with Mexico and Canada in a larger block with a common currency and less protected borders.

Ron Paul’s message is catching on. He is talking sense to the people. He is honest and has integrity and is definitely not out for political favor. I may not agree with him on every single issue, but I know that he has the interests of America and the American people in mind when he makes decisions. He is not a bought and paid for politician. He understand history, economics, monetary policy and foreign policy. His stances on positions are thought out and well reasoned. He rejects participation in the cushy congressional pension program out of a principled stand of not taking money out of the pockets of taxpaying Americans. He is simply an honorable individual - certainly a rare thing in modern politics.
